Survey Project SPORTS SURVEY By: YOU

The sports survey was sent to 20 people The sports survey was sent to 20 people. 10 people responded and therefore the population of the survey is 10

The results are in: 40% of the population play “other” sports 55.6% of the population play sports to stay fit 100% of the population enjoy the sports 44.4% of the population play only one sport 88.9% of the population say sports do not interfere with their personal life 66.7% of the population play sports for one hour a day

While developing the survey, I predicted the following: Most people will enjoy sports because everyone enjoys doing something fun and hanging out with people A quarter of the people don’t play sports at all A quarter of the people play sports for more than 1 hour a day My predictions were close as 100% people enjoy sports, 25% don’t play sports and 33% of people play for more than 1 hour

Difficulties and Problems My biggest difficulties of this project was getting the responses back. On average ½ of the people would respond. I overcame this by waiting for the first 10 responses and then sending it to 10 additional people. The results turned out pretty good though.

What I would do differently If I could I would change some of the questions to have a part B, such as: If a person clicked “nothing” for sports, then it would list additional options of what that person did. If a person clicked “no” to do they enjoy the sports, then it would trigger questions about why they didn’t like it.

What went well I thought the whole exercise went pretty well, except for the receiving the survey answers back. Making the questions was a lot of work to think of but fun and creative questions for everyone to answer.
