Anthem SARs

Forced equality causes people to lose their sense of individuality and ego. Society instills fear in the all men, causing “[their] shoulders [to be] hunched…as if their bodies [are] shrinking and [wish] to shrink out of sight” (Rand 29). Forced equality causes people to fear their ideas and anything that sets them apart from others. Their fear of being different makes them bland and not unique. -Not answering the question. Forced equality is not a good idea because it takes away individual thoughts, free will, and uniqueness. Equality believes his old society is corrupt and wonders ‘what is [his] joy if all hands… can reach into it? What is [his] wisdom if even the fools can dictate to [him]?...what is [his] life if [he is] but to bow, to agree and to obey [to others in his society]’ (Rand 97). Forced equality requires people to work for others’ benefit instead of their own.
