Learning Objectives Identify 3 different strategies utilized for the youthful offender population Explore success rates when compared with similar populations

Definitions Transferred Youth-an individual who was under age 18 at the time of sentencing and was either transferred or direct filed into the adult court system Youthful Offender-an individual between ages 18-20 and who was sentenced after age 18, even though the crime may have occurred before 18.
