Where are the classrooms in Upper Key Stage 2? Upper Key Stage 2 (UKS2) classrooms are located in the modern, two-storey building. The two Year 5 classrooms are downstairs and open out onto the Key Stage 1 playground. The two Year 6 classrooms are upstairs. Toilets and cloakrooms are accessed directly from classrooms. How can I support independence in Upper Key Stage 2? Children should wait on the KS1 playground in the morning. When the bell goes, they should line up in classes where they will be collected by their class teacher. Mobile phones are allowed by collected and retained by teachers during the day. How can I help my child to be healthy at school? Children are encouraged to bring in a healthy snack to eat at break time. School lunches can be ordered and paid for at home or in school. Children should bring in water every day. We encourage walking/cycling to school.
How will my child be supported in Upper Key Stage 2? Children with additional needs will continue to have focused GAP or SAP targets. TA and teacher support, differentiated tasks and resources during lessons. Additional TA-led interventions in the afternoons.
