Priorities 1. Connecting DLB alumni with private sector Connecting breeders with: Food industry Farmer organizations Other important players in value chain Strengthen existing multi-stakeholder platforms (commodity based) 2. How to share best practices and continue development and inclusivity Exposure to best practicing DLB programs, e.g., South Africa, Australia, Canada, new Zealand Site visits Case studies Guest lecture 3. Identifying issues and supporting DLB alumni to overcome problems Gap analysis and redesign training based on needs Constant engagement of alumni to get feedback on the implementation of DLB 4. Recognition of performance/DLB alumni breeding associations Catalyze recognition and use of prizes to Africa seed associations (or other existing organisations) and interest them to take it on

Group 3: DLB alumni engagement What need to be included or excluded? Inclusion: Continue developing and including more breeders in in DLB community Develop supportive materials like brochures Need a champion/coordinator to lead DLB Create a database for DLB alumni and private sectors to link up and share information Exclusion/modification Forming DLB association not necessary, but should create more of DLB network /community of practice and leadership Recognition of performance will not fit within the time frame of the DLB project
