Presentation transcript:

1. A good name is achieved when a person becomes famous. 2. A good name is directly related to a person’s popularity. 3. God expects every Christian to earn and maintain a good name. 4. God does not expect Christians to have a good name with the world, since the world will hate Christians. 5. Satan’s primary way of ruining a good name is to get a Christian to commit what the world considers to be a major sin. 6. Once a Christian has damaged his reputation, he can never regain a good name. 7. God requires us to have a good name among Christians and non-Christians. 8. A good name and a good reputation mean the same thing. 9. If you do what God says is right, He is responsible for your reputation. 10. God is more concerned with your obedience than with your reputation.

11. Sometimes God will allow our reputation to be damaged in order to protect His reputation. 12. God encourages Christians to talk about the good deeds that they have done. 13. There is nothing wrong with buying a house which is being sold for nonpayment of taxes. 14. A Christian leader should have the goal of being well spoken of by everyone. 15. The main reason why we should have a good name is that it will affect our future success. 16. It is much more difficult for a poor person to maintain a good name than it is for a wealthy person to do so. 17. The most common way to damage a good name is to make compromises.
