Starting PowerPoint 2010 An icon for PowerPoint can be placed on the desktop when the program is installed. Start PowerPoint by clicking on the Start button located on the taskbar.
Starting PowerPoint PowerPoint program opens with a blank presentation. The various types of presentations available include: Blank Installed Themes Installed Templates To start a new presentation click New under the File tab. To open an existing presentation choose Open from the File tab.

Slide Sorter View - is primarily used to rearrange slides Notes Page View - Use to key notes (often called speaker notes) you want to remember about each slide Slide Show View -Displays your presentation as an electronic slide show (fill the computer screen) Switch views by using the View Commands in the Presentations Views Group on the View Tab
