I. Convert a Fraction to a Percent, 2/27/19 HW: P. 98 Key Concepts! 1) Percent A percent is the ratio of a number to 100. The symbol % is used to indicate that a number is a percent. 2) How to convert a fraction to a percent? (If given mixed number, 1st convert to an improper fraction) a. Method 1: Set up a proportion—cross multiply & divide. % = numerator 100 denominator 3) Method 2: Change fraction to a decimal first, then moved decimal point 2 places to the right and annex % symbol.
