Mrs. Ernest’s and Mrs. Perez’s Class A Peek at Next Week in… Mrs. Ernest’s and Mrs. Perez’s Class March 18, 2019 Reminders Homework this year is to practice math facts and read daily AND spend time with your family! Additional homework will be given from time to time to study for tests. Objectives:   Reading: We will begin investigating a topic in a variety of genres, as we prepare to move into persuasive techniques. Language: Students will explore how poets use careful word choice, rhythm, and their five senses to create poems with big feelings. Writing: Students will edit sentences. Spelling Words: –*Dictation will not be included on our Friday spelling tests. * wrench, whisper, chatter, chin, bench, such, why, much, while, whale, lunch, chain Math: Students will measure using non-standard and standard units of measurement. Students may practice measuring objects around the house in inches, feet, and yards. Science: Students will learn about the ecosystem over the next few weeks. Social Studies: Students will determine the difference between wants and needs and producers and consumers.
