Presentation transcript:

Brussels, 6th of February 2019   Slovenian gas specific needs in the identification of the 4th PCI list Cveto Kosec, Secretary Ministry of Infrastructure, Energy Directorate RG SGC and RG NSI EAST Brussels, 6th of February 2019

Brussels, 6th of February 2019  Slovenian gas network is small system, placed at the intersection between central and southern Europe, on the one hand, and between eastern and western Europe; we are well connected with our neighbors, except Hungary; the quantities of natural gas for domestic consumption are even lower as quantities for transit through the territory of Slovenia;  RG SGC and RG NSI EAST Brussels, 6th of February 2019

Brussels, 6th of February 2019   the consumption of natural gas has fluctuated between 800 and 900 million Sm3 in the past years; the transmission of natural gas has fluctuated between 1,047 and 1,283 million Sm3 in the past years; RG SGC and RG NSI EAST Brussels, 6th of February 2019

Brussels, 6th of February 2019  - new PCI projects will be need in the region for gas transmission or bidirectional interconnectors and not for increased consumption in our country; - we already have the opportunity to access seven different sources of natural gas; - it is clear that we respect EU legislation and Regulation (EU) 347/2013 where the principles are set that define a fair cost sharing (the need for a proper preparation and implementation of the CBCA); - so we require that our users do not pay additionally for gas transit and not for the transit infrastructure.  RG SGC and RG NSI EAST Brussels, 6th of February 2019
