Introduction General introduction to the Workshop: Main idea: Exchange experiences Develop good practices on HRM&T Background: Hosted by Hungarian national Statistical Office Co-chaired by the Netherlands and Poland UNECE provided the secretariat support 79 participants from 43 countries and organisations

This will help us to stay relevant; Production methods: Different and better processes and methods tuned to delivering our products at minimal cost with greater flexibility and in cooperation between institutions. Strategic  Visualized in a Pyramid Challenges For NSI’s: Budget-cuts and staff-reduction due to the economic crises Hard for NSI’s to attract and retain highly educated employees due not so strong reputation on the labour market > growing problem, knowing that in the coming years large groups of older employees will leave our NSI’s. Therefore the challenges for HRM en Training departments are: Energise innovation Create a culture for change Encourage an entrepreneurial attitude
