Enhancing rotary’s impact through International service and District Resource networks Presentation at Zone 20A Institute Lagos Nigeria 14th September 2018 By PDG Adeniji Raji Disc Champion

International Service

International Service Service is a foundational pillar of club and district activity. International Service is one of five channels through which we serve our global communities. International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding. We support this service avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad, and more.

District International Service Committee Motivates clubs to get involved in international service (as a host or an international partner) Helps foster international partnerships Primary point of contact for building a District Resource Network Works with fellow district leaders to identify and recruit local experts Cultivates Network Motivates clubs to use experts within Network; connects clubs with needed expertise Support fellow district leaders, such as DRFCs, by connecting them to resources to plan stronger global grants.

Updated Responsibilities DISCs work with fellow district leaders to help clubs create more sustainable, higher-quality, projects and global grants by: Improving project design and implementation Strengthening Rotarian and Rotaractor-led mobilization efforts Leveraging local, regional expertise in Rotary’s areas of focus, project planning and implementation, and global grants

Everybody is standing but Rotary must stand out Everybody is breaking ground but Rotary must break through Everybody is scratching it but Rotary must scratch it hard Everybody is going but Rotary must keep going extra mile Rotary must dare to be exceptionally excellent Implement the District Resource Network.
