What is Lander Treatment Centre ? History Addiction Treatment Tobacco-Free Site 48-bed Residential Adult, Co-Ed All services are confidential

Lander Programs Stabilization Phase (5-6 days) Treatment Phase (18 days) Residential Tobacco Treatment Program (8 days) (pilot program)

Stabilization Phase Intended for clients who would benefit from having 5-6 days to slowly integrate into the program prior to starting the intensive treatment phase. Clients are triaged during pre-admission phone interview Smaller group size Lower intensity Opportunity to adjust to residential environment Reduce anxiety Develop coping skills Additional support requirements

Treatment Phase Focus of the 18-day intensive Treatment phase is on: Abstinence Increased understanding of addictions Self-awareness Development of a healthy lifestyle Coping Skills Action plans for recovery

Lander Programming Consists of: Group-based treatment Psycho-educational sessions Experiential learning Individual counselling Recreation & leisure program Stress management Self-help meeting exposure

Residential Tobacco Treatment Program (Pilot) 8-day residential program for moderate to severe tobacco dependence and/or concurrent diagnosed chronic disease (i.e. COPD, heart disease, diabetes) 3-4 times per year NRT/cessation medication during and after treatment (up to $1000)

Admission Criteria Potential Clients : Abstinence from alcohol and all other drugs prior to residential treatment is critical (including benzodiazepines, opioids, and Zopiclone) Clients requiring detoxification are referred to a detox facility prior to admission Must be at least 18 years of age Willingness to attend tobacco-free treatment program Potential Clients : Submit completed application with medical Participate in pre-admission telephone interview with admission nurse Are provided with an admission date upon approval of application May request to be on stand-by/cancellation list

Room and Board Fees Fees are $40.00 per day for Alberta residents, $125.00 per day for non-Alberta residents. Fees are payable on admission by cash, debit, certified cheque, money order, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express. Online credit card payment is also an option. Semi-private accommodations.
