LPI SCIENTISTS ENGAGE CURRENT AND FUTURE SPACE LEADERS On April 13, 2019 Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI) scientists engaged with university students and current NASA and commercial space professionals during the “Owls in Space Symposium” at Rice University. Dr. Allan Treiman and Dr. Julia Semprich spoke with students (right) and professionals (below) about opportunities at LPI for science and internships. Allan Treiman was also a panelist in the “New Space Age” panel. Over 130 students participated in the event attended by Rice alumnus NASA Administrator James Bridenstine. Dr. Allan Treiman and Dr. Julia Semprich speak with astronaut Dr. Don Pettit about the new Moon to Mars initiative. Andy Shaner, shaner@lpi.usra.edu
