Walk Two Moons Study Guide The test will be tomorrow. It is 10 multiple choice questions and 3 short answer. When you finish with the test you will be given a worksheet. If you complete the worksheet, put your name on it, turn it in, and get the majority of the answers correct I will award bonus points on your test. (Yes this means you can get higher than a 100.) ((No I am not sure how many points.)) The following information is to be written down in your notebook for you to study with.

Walk Two Moons The test is over chapters 11 – 20. I would suggest skimming over those. Chapters 11 – 20 have a lot to do with the following topics: Gram and Gramps marriage, Sal’s mom and when she left, Sal confronting her dad about Mrs. Cadaver, and Ben and Sal’s growing relationship.

Walk Two Moons Chapter 11: Chapter 12: Sal and Phoebe receive another message that says “Everyone has their own agenda.” Sal is accused of flinching every time Ben touches her. We find out both Phoebe and Sal flinch due to the relationships with their mothers Chapter 12: Gram and Gramps tells more about the most important item in their home, their marriage bed. Gram tells about how she had to see how Gramps treated his dog before she would agree to marry him.

Walk Two Moons Chapter 13: Chapter 14: Sal talks about her teacher Mr. Birkway and how energetic and enthusiastic he is. Chapter 14: Mr. Birkway is seen helping Mrs. Cadaver move her rhododendron. As we know Phoebe is convinced that Mr. Cadaver is buried under there. We see Mrs. Winterbottom crying on multiple occasions. Phoebe and Prudence completely ignore this.

Walk Two Moons Chapter 15: Chapter 16: Sal and her grandparents stop at the Missouri River to cool off. A boy wielding a knife shows up and claims they are on private property. He begins to go through their personal items. Suddenly a water moccasin (very venomous snake) bites Gram. The boy stops and cuts Grams leg so he can get the poison out. Gram is rushed to the hospital. Chapter 16: Gram ends up making it and they get back on the road. Sal thinks back to “the singing tree” at her old home and how on the day her dad said her mom wasn’t coming back no birds sang.

Walk Two Moons Chapter 17: Chapter 18: The two girls find Mrs. Winterbottom hacking at burnt brownies. She ignores the girls when they talk about Mrs. Cadaver. Another note is found that says “in the course of a lifetime, what does it matter?” This seems to strike a cord with Mrs. Winterbottom. Chapter 18: This is where we see Sal’s Mom’s departure. Her mom begins by saying that she wishes people would call her by her real name. Sal says that her mom was tense for days and was never the same after the baby died. Sal recalls her mom asking her to walk in the field with her to which she refuses. That is the last time she sees her mom.

Walk Two Moons Chapter 19: Chapter 20: Sal confronts her dad about Mrs. Cadaver to which he replies “Sal you are trying to catch fish in the air.” Chapter 20: Ben pretends to be a palm reader so he can hold Sal’s hand. Sal thinks back to when her mom used to eat blackberries and kiss trees because she loved trees so much. **remember when Sal got separated from her Grandparents she was afraid they left her.
