Welcome to Mrs. Mason’s science class As you come in, please grab a name tent and find a seat. Begin filling out the information about yourself on your name tent!

My Job & Your Job As a teacher, my job is to teach you! As a student your job it to pay attention and do your best to learn. I will do my job with 100% effort and I expect the same out of every single one of you. We will make mistakes. Own up to them and use them as learning opportunities. Be respectful to each other and ourselves Keep a positive attitude even when it isn’t the easiest thing to do!

Entering the Classroom Enter through the front door Go to seat Check for announcements and homework Read warm up and get started You are not allowed to ask Mrs. Mason questions until the song of the day is over. Then and only then may you approach Mrs. Mason with questions. **If you are not in your seat by the time the bell rings you are late!**

Being Prepared Bring everything you need to class If you don’t you will receive an infraction Everyday you will need Pen/Pencil iPad **I will let you know when you need textbooks**

Warm Up Warm up will be done in your warm up journal You will be working on your warm up by the time the bell rings Be prepared to share your answer to the warm up is finished

Absent If you are absent class still goes on without you. Check Mrs. Mason’s website to see if there is anything you can make up for the day When you return, check the absent bin before coming to see Mrs. Mason. If you don’t I will send you there first At an appropriate time, ask any questions you may have about missed work If you missed a test because of your excused absence, inform Mrs. Mason and arrange a time to make up the test. Most test make-ups will be done at the next available tutoring session. PLAN AHEAD!!

Turning in Assignments Turn in assignments ON TIME! If you do not put your name on it, I will not grade it! If the assignment is not complete I will hand it back to you to complete and you will receive an NHI until the completed assignment has been turned in. Late Work You will scan and fill out the form for everyday that you are late turning in an assignment. I will NOT remind you over and over to turn it in. You are responsible for yourself.

Help Sessions & Working Lunch Friday Morning @ 8:00am As needed Must have parent email to confirm extra help sessions Working Lunch will be held when needed. You are EXPECTED to attend working lunch when it is assigned. Missing assignments Recovery Make-Up Tests

Leaving Class The bell does not dismiss you, I do. Pick up all your belongs, including trash. Push in your chairs Exit out the back door.
