What We Share in Common as Christians

A common love for each other “But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.” (1 Thessalonians 4:9) “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (1 John 4:11)

A common gift to the Savior “…and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” (2 Cor. 5:15) “They first gave themselves to the Lord” (2 Cor. 8:5)

A common bond holding us to the Lord “We were buried with Him through baptism into death…For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.” (Romans 6:4-5)

A common strength when we're weary “Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power…” (Colossians 1:11)

A common hope for tomorrow Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who … has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:3) “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” (Hebrews 6:19)

A common joy in the truth of God's word Love “does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth” (1 Corinthians 13:6)

How Blessed We Are to have obtained a “like precious faith” in Christ. (2 Peter 1:1)
