UTI Children’s Career Balanced Plan :-Key Features An open ended debt oriented balanced plan with following investment pattern : Debt / G-Sec : Minimum 60 % Equity : Maximum 40 % Investments can be made on behalf of a child up to the age of 15 Years (i.e. 14 years & 364 days) Minimum Investment : Rs.1000/- Scholarship & Growth option Scholarship Option provides systematic withdrawal under defined number of installments ranging from 4-8 at yearly/or half yearly intervals after the completion of 18 years of the age of the child Income under scholarship option not under tax purview under section 10(16) of the IT act 1961 so long as the education is not discontinued by the beneficiary.
