Subrecipient Management Course Development Briefing Planning & Professional Development Subcommittee June 14, 2017
Subrecipient Management Briefing Course designed primarily for practitioners with three or fewer years of experience. Course focuses on CDBG and public service subrecipients.
Subrecipient Management Briefing Course developed with this in mind: few practitioners are responsible for all aspects of the subrecipient management process. Course materials are designed to teach the least experienced, while serving as a refresher for those more experienced in any given area.
Subrecipient Management Briefing Course materials are designed to teach the least experienced, while serving as a refresher for those more experienced in any given area.
Subrecipient Management Briefing Exercises are built into the course. Some are very brief, designed to be sure a concept is understood before moving on. Several go deeper into the process of selecting and managing subrecipients. All are based on real-life experiences of NCDA member-practitioners.
Subrecipient Management Briefing The course follows the subrecipient management process linearly, starting with establishing priorities in the Consolidated Plan on through HUD’s role in overseeing the grantee’s relationship with its subrecipients and finishing with a heavy dose of problem solving.
Subrecipient Management Briefing There will be a course manual built on the linear approach used in the course. Currently under development with a Labor Day deadline for getting it to the printer.
Subrecipient Management Briefing You will notice 12 different designs for the chapter slides. Does there need to be a uniform look? If multiple designs okay, which ones are more okay than others?
