11 x 14 DO NOW: (No calculators, pencils, talking or air writing) Take out your homework Solve using mental math (No calculators, pencils, talking or air writing) 3. You will have 2 minutes to get this done 11 x 14

Objective(S): I will be able to: -use the order of operations So that I can: evaluate numerical expressions. I will show I know it when: I can successfully make a BINGO using the solutions of the numerical expressions. 6.EE.A.2c

Language Objective By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the language domains of reading and writing to communicate the academic math language of Order of Operations to evaluate numerical expressions. Students will verbally communicate and write/evaluate numerical expressions to show their understanding. They will show their understanding by successfully make a BINGO using the solutions of the numerical expressions. Academic math Language Vocabulary: Order of Operation, expression, evaluate, solve.

The rules we follow…

You will work independently to solve numerical expressions using the order of operations to try to make a BINGO first.
