All testing will be done in the morning Test Dates and Times April 9th – 16th All testing will be done in the morning ELA- computer BASED 2 - 90 minute sessions 1 - 75 minute sessions Social Studies-COMPUTER BASED 3- 65 minute sessions

All testing will be done in the morning Test Dates and Times April 9th – 16th All testing will be done in the morning Math- computer BASED 2 - 75 minute sessions 1 - 85 minute session Science-COMPUTER BASED 1- 75 minute session 2-70 minute sessions

The questions will be in an “A” format or an “A and B” format ELA/SS Multiple choice Writing Short answer Drag and Click The questions will be in an “A” format or an “A and B” format A- will be the answer B- will be matching the text that fits answer A Some may have multiple answers

Format of Writing for ELA Read text(s) and write a constructive response Continuation Argumentative Compare and Contrast Perspective Summary Research Simulation Narrative Literary Analysis Cite evidence (TT, “Quote”)

Narrative Writing Narrative Writing Task: asks students to read a literary text, answer a set of selected-response questions about the text, and then create a narrative related to the text (e.g., finish the story; retell the story in another narrative form, such as a journal entry). Students should make sure that they create narrative, not expository, responses.

Literary Analysis Task Literary Analysis Task: provides students an opportunity to show their understanding of literature. It asks students to read two literary texts, answer a set of selected-response questions about the texts, and write an extended response that compares and/or explains key ideas or elements in the texts (e.g., comparison of characters, setting, events; similar themes; influence of point of view).

Social Studies Sources Students will be required to look at sources such as: Maps Artifacts Historical Passages Personal Historical Accounts Activate Prior Knowledge (Information gained in class) Students will be required to analyze multiple sources, and answer multiple questions about the collective group of sources.

Social Studies Questions Question styles are similar to ELA Multiple Choice (A and B) Short Answer Drag and Click Cite evidence (EX: TT, “QUOTE”)

Math/Science Multiple choice Multiple Select Short Answer Some may have multiple answers Short Answer Constructed Response Two Part Items Requires students to answer two related questions Two-part dependent – Part A must be correct in order to earn credit for Part B. Two-part independent – each part is scored independently

Science Multiple choice Multiple Select Short Answer Similar to Math : Multiple choice Multiple Select Some may have multiple answers Short Answer Constructed Response Students will demonstrate understanding by writing a brief response that uses knowledge of science content and /or stimulus materials Bulleted responses Extended Response Students will demonstrates understanding by writing and in-depth response incorporating knowledge of science content along with evidence from the stimulus materials.
