PHYLUM ANNELIDA Segmented Worms. CHARACTERISTICS A.Have many segments separated by internal walls called septa. Most segments are identical. Some segments.
Phylum Annelida the segmented worms. The Higher Animals - two lineages Higher animals have a coelom and a mouth/anus The infolded blastopore of the forming.

Presentation transcript:

Phylum: Annelids Examples: Earthworms, Leeches, Polychaeta (live in water or freshwater)

Symmetry-_________________ Body Plan: True Coelomates (body cavity) Segmented Worms

Feeding: Mouth and Anus Respiration/Circulation/Excretion: Closed Circulatory Waste excreting organs in each segment Annelids have two kinds of respiration depending on different classes. If annelids live in sea or water like annelids in class Polychaeta, they have gills to breathe. Some annelids do not have lugs like earthworm (class Oligochaeta), and they use their outer skin to exchange gas.

Response: Specialized sense organs and nerve cells Movement: Parapodia-almost feet

Reproduction: Most hermaphroditic Video
