Restoration & Monitoring Prioritization Tool Developed by the Prioritization Tool Workgroup The restoration and monitoring prioritization tool is a spatially based evaluation of several sets of data to help guide the discussion of the most efficient places for watershed restoration projects and monitoring.

Need For This Tool Elevates redundant efforts across multiple programs Allows all Branches to be working off of the same sets of data that are most current within the Department Dynamic and easily updated

What is the Prioritization Tool? A GIS model that weights datasets Provides a ranked output of prioritization Produces a transparent evaluation

Examples of Use FY 2014 319 Funding Selection

Examples of Use Ambient Monitoring Station Prioritization

Future Tool Potential Tracking restoration activities Public Database to coordinate restoration efforts Assist redirection of resources Assist communities and watershed groups better target limited resources Track activities related to improving water quality

Long Term Goals Better coordinated efforts with all water programs statewide Facilitate more efficient restoration work Better allocate monitoring resources Further expansion to protection efforts
