Ephesians 1:13-14

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NKJV[6] But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. [7] So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. [8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

The Christian Blessings of the Holy Spirit If we do not value all the blessings that we have by having the HS we are lacking many things. To have the HS means that Jesus’ promises are with us now days. John 14:15-18. What are the blessing that we have as Christians now that we have the HS in us? Speaking in tongues? Performing miracles? Good evening. We covered a lot this morning regarding God’s promises to give us the Holy Spirit. And some may ask - what the big deal. I already know that the Holy Spirit revealed and confirmed the word of God, isn’t that His blessing to me now. I mean, we can all buy a Bible in almost any bookstore in the world. What’s more to say. Let me answer this line of thinking by saying: Friend, there’s A LOT MORE to the Holy Spirit’s blessings in the lives of Christians than just he revelation and confirmation of the Word. That is a huge part of his work that is wonderful and great, but it is not all of HIS WORK and we should not neglect studying the other wonderful things He has done for us! Imagine if someone said, “Oh I know Jesus died on the cross - what more do I need to know” That would be so sad, because they may know the main thing, but they would be missing out on so MUCH MORE. With Jesus we need to know his teachings, we need to know his love, we need to know his resurrection, we need to know his kingship, we need to know his headship over the church. That He died on the cross is HUGE and super important - but it is not the ONLY important work he performs. Same is true with the Holy Spirit. Yes, the Holy Spirit guided the apostles into all truth and we are blessed to have it in our Bibles today..but that is not the ONLY way the Holy Spirit is a blessing for us today. Tonight we are going to look at the blessing we have as Christians which the Holy Spirit has provided. The Christian Blessings of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: As An Agent of Renewal “Renewing”. Titus 3:5 The Holy Spirit’s Labor of Love. Is the Holy Spirit the “Agent” God use in order to cleans us from all iniquities. The renewing of the Holy Spirit is the process He uses to make us new in front of God. Every person that has obeyed the Gospel of Jesus with full understanding has received the full assistance of God’s Holy Spirit. He performs our spiritual restoration beautifully! We are as good as new! 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: By Dwelling with us! His Presence Dwells Within Us Notice “who is in you” not what! (1 Corinthians 6:19) Personal Presence not Person Dwells In A Temple Exodus 33:14, 40:34 His Personal Presence motivates our purity. The Word He Revealed Dwells Within Us Luke 8:15 Colossians 3:16 We should not take away from either truth in an attempt to exalt the other! Both blessings are from God and wonderful!

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: As our seal and Earnest. 2 Blessings In Preparation of our Final Redemption Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30 He Is Our Seal He Proves We Are Genuine Christians He Verifies That We Belong To God He Is Our Pledge Because He Is Given We Have Confidence We Will Ultimately Be Given Our Full Inheritance He is the seal that we have from The Lord. God know His children by the Holy Spirit He has given us.

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: With the inner man He Provides Strength To The Inner Man Ephesians 3:16 He Is A Source of Refreshing When We Hunger & Thirst For Righteousness John 7:38-39 He Helps Us Guard The Truth of the Gospel 2 Timothy 1:14 Remember, the inner man without the Holy Spirit is a dead man, we live and move and become spiritual people because he gave us power.

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: In our struggle with sin. The number one enemy of the Christians: sin and Satan. Can we face them alone? NO! There is nothing we can do alone, we need help from above, we need help from God and is for this reason He gave us the comforter. The Holy Spirit helps us set our mind on pleasing God, not our flesh Romans 8:5-9 The Holy Spirit is the avenue through which God gives life to us. Romans 8:11 & Ephesians 2:5

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: To lead us in God’s will. Always Found In 2 Forms In The N.T. 1.) Revealing God’s Will 2.) Providing The Strength To Obey God’s Will In the 1st Century the Holy Spirit provided partial and specific leading to establish the church. Acts 8:39, 10:19-20, 13:2, 16:6 Today the Holy Spirit has completely revealed the Law of Christ to lead us in the path of Christ. The Old Law lead us to Christ (Galatians 3:24) The New Law leads us in Christ (Galatians 5:18) The sons of God seek to please God. (Romans 8:14)

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: By helping us pray. Hope Helps Us Persevere & The Spirit Helps Our Weakness In Prayer Romans 8:26 Our Weakness: We can’t put it in words. “we do not know how to pray as we should” The Spirit’s Help: The Spirit intercedes to communicate both His mind and the intents of our heart to God the Father. Romans 8:26-27

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: Providing Testimony and Assurance Testimony Regarding Our Spiritual Adoption “Abba” verifies the closeness of our relationship. Romans 8:15-16 & Galatians 4:6 Assurance that Jesus Abides In Those Who Keep His Commandments 1 John 3:23-24, 1 John 4:13

The Holy Spirit Blesses Us: In his call to “COME” The Holy Spirit and all God’s People Call Out “Come” Revelation 22:17 We Call to Jesus, Come Quickly Revelation 22:12-17a, 20-21 We Call to the lost, Come To Jesus! Revelation 22:17b
