Why is Krishna Blue? Same kind of Question was asked by Gopis as well. They asked Krishna, ‘O Kaanha, just tell me why you are so black? And even after being so black, why are you different from this world?’ But, Krishna did not explain it factually.. Why? They all know! They only asked for fun and tease Krishna..! What did Krishna tell them?

I was born on a black night. So I became black! Gopis did not stop teasing.. No.. Tell us the real reason..

Krishna said that he became black because He drank milk from a black cow. Gopis teased Him more, “No.. Tell me the real reason..”

Krishna then said, ‘You see. My blanket is black Krishna then said, ‘You see. My blanket is black.. Because I am using the black blanket, I also became black..!” Gopis were pressing and teasing Him more. “Tell us why you are blak..”

*S-l-o-w d-o-w-n!* Krishna said, “I danced on a black snake (Kaaliya Naag) and.. Became black!”

*S-l-o-w d-o-w-n!* Krishna said, “Everday, Gopis call me in their house and feed me butter and sugar. You see..“..

*S-l-o-w d-o-w-n!* “Gopis have a black mind, hence I became so black.. “ But gopis were pressing Him more…

*S-l-o-w d-o-w-n!* Krishna said, “You Gopis put kaajal in your eyes and I am the apple of your eyes… Because I am inside your eyes, your kaajal make me black”..

“Not only that. With that kajal, you all take bath in Yamuna “Not only that! With that kajal, you all take bath in Yamuna.. When I take bath, all your kaajal comes on me!.. So, you are to be blamed for My color as black..” We have a new song to introduce, which is nicely going over this sweet dialogue between the gopis and Krishna..

So, did you understand why is Krishna blue? Krishna is blue because, sea is also blue and we all know that it is so deep no one knows how deep sea is… Thank You!! Hare Krishna!!!

Lord Krishna says, “No one can understand me..” No one can understand Krishna’s qualities, forms, and pastimes!
