Year 1 Summer Term 2 Computing Maths English Creative Curriculum PE In Maths we will continue our work surrounding shape, space and measure. As well as starting to learn to tell the time to O’clock and half past. We will also continue to develop our counting in twos, fives and tens and our work surrounding number patterns. English We will be basing our English work around a picture book every half term and this term our focus is ‘Paddington Bear’. We will be writing explanations and letters. We will be focusing upon sentence structure including capital letters` for the start of sentences as well names of people and places, finger spaces and full stops. This half term our main focus will be on handwriting, we will be focusing upon letter formation and size of writing. Creative Curriculum Put on your best outfit because you’re invited to have tea with the queen. Use your best manners and comb your hair, as one will not be amused if you don’t! What do you know about England’s capital city? Let’s find out about London, including its history, transport and famous landmarks. Step back in time and discover what happened in the Great Fire of London. Where did start? How did it end? Are you ready for the bright lights of the big city? Hop in a black cab and… enjoy the ride! Year 1 Summer Term 2 PE In PE we will be preparing for sports day! We will be developing our throwing, catching, running, jumping and many other skills. We also will learn how to work and compete as a team. Computing In computing we will become TV Chefs, with our very own TV Programme! Make sure you tune in to learn how to create a fantastic pizza. We will learn how to record and edit our very own videos.
