Hexagons + Rotation Squares TEEP PEEP! • Promoting collaborative problem solving and team work so that students become independent and resourceful learners

Strategy 1 Students work in small groups – and given a set of hexagons with words relating to a specific topic or module.

Students work together to demonstrate how the hexagons relate to each other by fixing hexagons together and making connections.

Teams can write in the hexagons how they link together

Strategy 2 Student generated hexagons

Differentiation Hexagons can be adapted to include a definition or a reminder for lower ability students. Can print out sets with and without to be distributed as necessary. Key to make as many connections as possible (competitive element) Develop higher order skills through discussion and team work
