Discussion Questions Based on the readings, try to build a hierarchy of medical services based on tele-medicine: from homes or villages to major hospitals. What are the differences between developed and undeveloped countries? From this hierarchy, lay out a plan for communication needs: both bandwidth and latency.

Next Time Two readings online from Margaret Morris (Intel Health Group): For “Embedded Assessment”, think about the “contextual factors” that might be important for accurate diagnosis. How could they be captured in the home? What about by worn sensors? For the social networks paper, think about the representations of network proposed (and others) and how they might be perceived by elders.
