The Bov-A2 element is conserved in the NOS2 gene of bovid species. The Bov-A2 element is conserved in the NOS2 gene of bovid species. A ∼300 bp region of the cattle TP53 gene and NOS2 gene from cattle, buffalo, bison, and yak were aligned to the consensus BOV-A2 sequence.
