The XTOD development plan will conclude with operations commencing in March ‘09 FEE NEH Tunnel FEH FY06 Final Design Procurement - Prep Preliminary Design FY07 Procurement Build/Test/Install FY08 Commission FY06 is characterized as the “Design and Thinking” year with the majority of systems being designed and the remaining significantly advanced.

XTOD milestones were chosen to lower risks and meet the required commissioning sequence Higher risk/complexity systems typically have early milestones to ensure adequate development time

An aggressive gas attenuator schedule including a prototype sequence is the XTOD critical path Prototype efforts are intended to minimize development risks and ensure an on time delivery of a system meeting the required performance requirements

XTOD is approximately 24% complete and is tracking schedule and performance plans FY07 is the largest funding year at $12M and includes almost all XTOD procurements
