XTOD milestones were chosen to lower risks and meet the required commissioning sequence Higher risk/complexity systems typically have early milestones to ensure adequate development time
An aggressive gas attenuator schedule including a prototype sequence is the XTOD critical path Prototype efforts are intended to minimize development risks and ensure an on time delivery of a system meeting the required performance requirements
XTOD is approximately 24% complete and is tracking schedule and performance plans FY07 is the largest funding year at $12M and includes almost all XTOD procurements
