Count the ד Dalets. Review

Count the ר Reshes. Review - ר

Look for the break in the left leg of Hey הHey - breath

Count the ה Heys. Review - ה

Review - ה Did you count these as ה Heys. Notice the leg on the left connects to the top of the letter. Review - ה

It takes three pin marks to make an Alef It takes three pin marks to make an Alef. Without all three strokes of the pin it would not be an Alef. If you remove any of the primary expressions of G-d he would no longer be G-d. Like G-d, Alef does not make any sound. The attached vowel is free to express itself without much influence. א Alef – G-d

ל Lamed - study Lamed sounds like L It will carry you from the earth line to the highest heavens. It pictures our emotions. ל Lamed - study

מ Mem – water or kingdom Mem sounds like M The bottom is a strait line. The lower right corner is square. There is a break at the lower left corner. It pictures our intellect. The first letter of מח Mach - brain מ Mem – water or kingdom

More Vowels Petach – A as in father Covered this last lesson. Chamatz – O as in ox more of a long “A” sound. Since Alef has no sound of its own we will use it to show examples of how vowels work. Holom – O as in open Hirik – EE as in feet More Vowels
