2009 TAX LAW

AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) The Recovery and Your Family On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, P.L. 111-5 (H.R.1), the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), was signed into law by the President. ARRA includes key provisions that impact individuals and families. In general, the provisions of ARRA do not impact tax returns for 2008. The exception is the First-time Homebuyer Credit that will be discussed in a later slide. The changes will largely impact 2009 and 2010 tax returns filed in 2010 and 2011.
