Teacher instructions You will need to xerox 6 copies of the anchor sets provided as a pdf file in this unit. Be certain that each group has an anchor set. Ideally, each student has an anchor set.

In your last lesson, You wrote an essay using the prompt, “Why people save things”

Today We are going to learn how to score these essays in exactly the same way the FCAT graders will score your FCAT essay this spring

Your teacher Divide into 6 groups Your teacher will provide each group with a set of anchor papers.

Let’s look at each of the anchor papers We will first take turns reading them aloud And then, we will discuss the comments on the papers
