EFFO Strategic Plan Strategic aim Objectives Supporting activities Increase recognition and regulation of osteopathy across Europe Develop arguments for recognition and regulation of the profession Produce position papers on benefits of recognition/regulation Collect research on osteopathy and its recognition/regulation (including member surveys) Develop case studies of regulated countries Support individual member engagement with national government and stakeholders Facilitate contacts for members Provide advice and know-how to members Support members’ strategic planning Engage with European and international stakeholders, including patient organisations and other healthcare professions, that will support the organisation’s aims Identify potential supporters Establish targeted contact program Continue membership of and engagement with existing partners (e.g. EuroCAM and HPCB) Contribute to EU policy development through specific lobbying initiatives Identify key policy areas Monitor key policy developments Respond appropriately to policy initiatives on our own or with others Exploit opportunities presented by CEN Facilitating the sharing of experiences of using the CEN standard among members Seek close working collaboration with relevant osteopathic stakeholders, e.g. OsEAN, OIA and EROP Seek Memorandum of Understanding with relevant stakeholders Identify opportunities for joint working on relevant projects Identify ways of maximising use of shared membership with other stakeholders Support research, education, standards and professional practice Seek opportunities to form collaborative programmes within and beyond the membership Establish regular member meeting programme in relevant areas of member interest Provide advice and support at and between meetings Identify and share best practice through briefings, newsletters etc
