NDPHS side-event “Health is wealth and wealth is health” Purpose This event is part of a project led by the NDPHS Secretariat in its capacity as the Coordinator of the Policy Area “Health” of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). NDPHS – The Partners and their aims The NDPHS is a cooperative effort of nine governments (Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden), the European Commission and eight international organisations. The Partnership aims to help (i) promote the reduction of major communicable diseases, (ii) prevent lifestyle related non-communicable diseases, and (iii) enhance and promote healthy and socially rewarding lifestyles. The Partnership strives to achieve this by: Contributing to intensified co-operation in social and health development, and Enhancing co-ordination of international activities within the Northern Dimension area.
