Successful Living

Winston Churchill said, “Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.”

Deepak Chopra said, “Success in life could be defined as the continued expansion of happiness and the progressive realization of worthy goals.”

Richard Branson said, “It is the satisfaction of doing it for yourself and motivating others to work with you in bringing it about. It is about the fun, innovation, creativity with the rewards being far greater than purely financial.”

Zig Ziglar said, “Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Success: To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,...

to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!”

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight. CSB Proverbs 3:5-6

Be committed to following God.

Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones. CSB Proverbs 3:7-8

Be humble in following God.

Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest; then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine. CSB Proverbs 3:9-10

Be blessed by honoring God.

The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion... CSB Proverbs 3:6-12

since God loves a cheerful giver ...since God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work. As it is written: ... CSB Proverbs 3:6-12

He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness... CSB Proverbs 3:6-12

You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. CSB Proverbs 3:6-12

Be blessed by honoring God.

Do not despise the Lord’s instruction, my son, and do not loathe his discipline; for the Lord disciplines the one he loves, just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights. CSB Proverbs 3:11–12

Be discipline by the loving God.
