This is the historical centre of Krasnoyarsk. 378years ago in 1628 a famous voyevoda Andrey Dubenskiy came to the mid-Yenisey by the order of the Tsar to defend Russian settlements. He chose a favourable position for the new fort and in his message to the Tsar he wrote :
