3 © EURIDICE Consortium 2008 WP12 - Objectives Objective to provide the best possible Knowledge Description for the domains covered by EURIDICE, residing mainly, but non only, in logistics and transportation Goal Modelling and storage of the knowledge required for logistic process cooperation, and then supporting search and discovery of such knowledge resources (e.g., services) needed to build an executable business activity. How? Evaluate the most promising formalized descriptions of knowledge in transportation and logistics and select the most relevant. Create a superset of one common formalized description by both joining the selected one and as well allow its correction and enhancement by domain experts. Foresee continuous enhancement of the consolidated description by domain experts through easy and fast expression of knowledge in a consistent way. Allow mapping of knowledge sources by integrating Knowledge Sources. Define and elaborate additional formalized tools to continuously update the database as result from the reasoning done in WP13.
