There are more than 165 Caritas agencies working together all around the world.
A great example of this partnership is found in South Sudan, where Caritas agencies have united in response to ongoing conflict, food security issues and widespread displacement.
During the famine in 2017, the following map shows who was helping where and how.
Caritas agencies have supported thousands of South Sudanese families in many different ways…
Providing essential food supplies.
Providing seeds and tools to help families start again.
Setting up community water pumps.
Providing household items including tarpaulins, mosquito nets, buckets and sleeping mats.
Providing medical care to the most vulnerable.
Facilitating workshops to encourage peacebuilding.
Talking with families and sharing their stories.
Many of the same agencies continue to support the local Caritas agency, Caritas South Sudan, at the present moment.
