Fig 1 Association between phenotypes and endotypes in preschool children with asthma syndrome. A syndrome is a set of symptoms that are linked to a specific pathogenesis (asthma). In our view asthma syndrome is a heterogeneous umbrella: there are many possible phenotypes within this syndrome.
