The Rules – Free and Fair This election will be by secret and consenting ballot Do not steal personal information of other voters Do not vote on behalf of someone else. Don’t bribe a voter or official We do allow candidates to give voters tokens of support providing they do not cost more than 10p

Online Conduct Online harassment and cyber bullying can take a wide variety of forms including: “Trolling” (sending menacing or upsetting messages) Identity theft “Doxxing” (making available personal information) Cyber stalking Online bullying can be seen as more pervasive than face to face harassment because it can “follow the person home.” Social Media is an effective campaigning tool and a great way to communicate your ideas with students. Online harassment will not be tolerated in these elections. Debate the issues not the person.

You/We sounds better than I/Me People are more likely to sign up to a positive vision than a negative rant Identify your core vote and make sure they vote

Campaigning Teams You are responsible for their actions Gather a wide range/strong personalities Choose people that complement your skills and weaknesses Make sure they are “On message” Do you allocate responsibilities or tasks? Make sure they aren’t just leaflet shovers Have meetings with them- keep them informed Support them, encourage them and thank them!
