Three EIP Sub-Measures – Budget €59m All are ‘Support for EIP Operational Groups’ Locally Led Environmental and Climate Projects General EIPs Locally Led Hen Harrier and Freshwater Pearl Mussel Projects. Budget: €20m Budget: €35m We now have 3 EIP sub- measures. General, Locally Led HH and FWPM and Locally Led Environmental and Climate Projects . The Budget is €59m ie €4m for General, €35 m for HH and FWPM and €20 m for LL Environmental and Climate Projects. BURREN €15m Budget: €4m
Open Call EIPs The process is bottom up and challenge driven All EIP support must reflect the RDP programme logic via the RDP priorities Priority 1 is an overarching priority – innovation and knowledge transfer in agriculture, forestry and rural areas & strengthening links between research and innovation
€4m General EIP category Projects in this category will focus on RD Priorities 2&3, basically: Farm viability and competitiveness Innovative farm technology and sustainable forest management Economic performance Food chain organisation, competiveness of producers, animal welfare and risk management €4m
Environmental & Climate EIPs Projects in this category will focus on RD Priorities 4&5, basically: Restoring, preserving and enhancing ecosystems Resource efficiency, and a low carbon climate resilient sector

Phase 2 Shortlisted projects funded to produce detailed project plan. Workshop to help. 5-6 months to produce. Selection Committee evaluate and shortlist again.
Phase 3 Shortlisted projects funded for full implementation Workshop to help. Up to five years term. Outreach, PR, education, review and assessment.
