The Battle Begins

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. Romans 12:1–2 CSB

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1–2 CSB

1. Live in constant, unwavering dedication to God.

For I do not do the good that I want to do, but I practice the evil that I do not want to do. Romans 7:19 CSB

1. Live in constant, unwavering dedication to God.

Ministry + Discipleship + Evangelism = Worship.

Ministry – We are inspired by the Holy Spirit and teaching, led by key leaders, to engage in serving others in fellowship with one another.

Discipleship – We attend Bible Study weekly in fellowship with one another and are in a 1 on 1 personal mentoring relationships.

Evangelism – We engage the 4x4 strategy to win people to Christ.

“No worship is pleasing to God which is purely inward, abstract, and mystical; it must express itself in concrete acts of service performed by our bodies.” John Stott

1. Live in constant, unwavering dedication to God.

2. The dedicated life is a transformed life.

The lens by which we are to see EVERY issue is the lens of God’s Word.

His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3–4 CSB

By these he has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire. 2 Peter 1:3–4 CSB

The lens by which we are to see EVERY issue is the lens of God’s Word.

3. The transformed life is completely incompatible with any other system.

"These two value systems (this world and God’s will) are incompatible, even in direct collision with one another. Whether we are thinking about the purpose of life or the meaning of life, about how to measure greatness or how to respond to evil, about ambition, sex, honesty, money, community, religion or anything else, the two sets of standards diverge so completely that there is no possibility of compromise." John Stott

3. The transformed life is completely incompatible with any other system.
