Quick Guide to Qualifications Level 2 – GCSE equivalent Level 3 – A level or equivalent BTEC – Exam/Coursework/Vocational CACHE – Work related in placement/school

Exam Systems Linear A Levels – A two year course where the terminal examination encompasses both AS and A2 work. If you have chosen to study 4 AS levels there will be an opportunity to sit the external AS examination at the end of year 12 for the subject that you do not wish to continue. BTEC Courses have unit exams throughout the course

What would Yr 12 say now? It’s hard – especially Nov – Feb – 78% found transition difficult Have a great summer, but hit the ground running Be organised You can’t ‘blag it’ You have to make decisions You are a lot more independent Get involved – in or out of school
