“Operation Uphold Democracy” Haiti Invasion 1994 “Operation Uphold Democracy”

Who: Involved United States, Poland, and Argentina against Haiti. We only lost one person and Haiti lost several hundred

What: The operation began with the alert of United States and its allies for a forced entry into the island nation of Haiti.

When: September 19, 1994 – March 31, 1995

Where: It occurred on the Island nation of Haiti.

Why: Wanted to persuaded the leaders of Haiti to step down and allow the elected officials to return to power.

How: The American claimed victory.
