MN ZOO: Thank you to those who have returned the permission slips. Thank you to the chaperones for completing the background check and sending in your $12. There are many parents going along. I hope some of you will be able to carpool to the zoo. Especially if it is hot, you will have air conditioning, we won’t have that on the bus. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER: Please make sure your child dresses in layers. Spring weather maybe chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Students could wear a short sleeve shirt, sweatshirt and a windbreaker jacket. Light weight gloves and head band would help on cold spring days. IF it becomes warm and students want to wear shorts, please see that they are wearing sweatpants too. Summer is not here. For safety reasons, please no flip flops. 4th Qtr. Mid-term is Friday, May 3rd. May 10 - GRANDPARENTS DAY : Please invite your grandparents! Second graders will be doing a jump rope and jump sticks routine. May 14 - ACTIVITIES DAY is a day K-2 will do a variety of activities down by the track. The rain date is set for May 16. May 15 - MN ZOO – Parents are welcome to come, but they will probably have to follow the bus in their own vehicles or share rides. May 27 – NO SCHOOL – Memorial Weekend May 31 – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
