Weekly Homework Due Friday August 22, 2016 Peek at the Week Welcome back to school! I am so excited to begin the year together! My conference period is 9:30-10:15 , if you would like to come to school and talk in person. First grade is all about becoming excellent readers, writers, and mathematicians. It’s amazing to watch children grow as learners and as individuals! We will be able to celebrate a great year of “firsts” by working together as a team! Reading Comprehension & Story Elements Science Safety & Weather Good Citizenship Data Collection & Analysis Weekly Homework Due Friday “I’m a Fantastic First Grader” Poster. We will share these on Friday morning and then display them around the room. Read for 10 minutes every night 9/5 – Labor Day: No School *** Please send your child with a snack each day. We eat lunch at 11:25 and it can be a long afternoon with a hungry tummy. *** Please make sure that your child has an extra set of clothes to keep at school. Accidents seem to just happen in first grade (milk spills, slides are wet, science experiments go wrong). Thank you so much!
