Microsoft Project 2010 Demo Part 3

Problem 1.2 Enter tasks, times, and sequence requirements for problem 1.2. Be sure to click Project/Project Information to set project starting date. Calculate mean task times by hand, using a spreadsheet, or using http://www.had2know.com/business/pert-estimation-formula-calculator.html. Find critical path.

Insert Rows for More Tasks To insert rows for summary tasks or subtasks, hold cursor on task that will go below new task and right click Insert Task.

Indenting Tasks To create subtasks or summary tasks click Task and then the green arrow icons. This will create indented tasks.

Cost and Material Resources To add costs, material resources, or additional labor resources, you can go to View/Resource Sheet. You can define resources and fill in information as seen below.

Add Cost Column(s) To add a column of data go to a blank column (labeled Add New Column), scroll down the menu and choose the appropriate item such as Cost.

Printing Results First be sure results show on computer screen nicely. Then go to File/Print. See print screen below. Please conserve on pages printed. Be green!

Beware of Indicator Icon To remove indicator, double click task with icon. Open the Advanced tab. Set constraint type to “as soon as possible”.
