Hydrosalpinx was scored for severity, and mice with hydrosalpinx were counted for calculation of the incidence rate in each group. Note that all of our mutant C. muridarum organisms produced reduced hydrosalpinx severity and incidence, with a significant reduction for clones G13.11.1, G28.54.1, and G28.51.1 (*, P < 0.05; **, P < 0.01; Fisher's exact test for incidence and Wilcoxon rank sum test for score comparison).
