Why did Mary pick Daytona Beach to be the location for her new school? She liked the beach. There was a large African American population and not enough schools. It was a random pick. A friend told her to open the school there.

What does the word segregation mean?

Why did Mary become a teacher? she had always dreamed of being a teacher. She was forced to be a teacher. She wanted to help people and because she could not be a missionary she thought teaching would allow her to help others still. She was not a teacher.
